Mathematics/Actuarial Studies

To fulfill the requirements for a minor in mathematics/actuarial studies you must complete 26 credits as follows:

Required  Core (14 Credits):

  • MAT 121 Calculus I 4
  • MAT 122 Calculus II 4
  • MAT 201 Advanced Calculus I 3
  • MAT 202 Advanced Calculus II

Four electives (12 credits):

  • MAT 211 Linear Algebra 3
  • MAT 231 Probability Theory 3
  • MAT 232 Quantitative Analysis 3
  • MAT 240 Finite Mathematics 3
  • MAT 263 Operations Research 3
  • MAT 265 Actuarial Computing with APL 3
  • MAT 331 Mathematics of Compound Interest 3
  • MAT 333 Actuarial Mathematics I 3
  • MAT 334 Actuarial Mathematics II 3
  • MAT 341 Numerical Methods 3
  • MAT 351 Time Series and Regression Analysis 3
