Apply to Lander College for Men
COVID-19 Update
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, Lander College for Men will not require students to take the SAT or ACT for admission to the College. Although the exams are optional, it will only positively influence your potential scholarship award if you do take them. The SAT II exam, while optional, will also positively influence your potential scholarship award. Please note that effective May 2021, the SAT or ACT is required for admission to the Honors Program.
Applying to college can be daunting, but we are here to help at any point along the way.
Let’s get started. Here’s what we need from you:
1. Application
Complete and submit your application with a non-refundable $60 fee, to the Office of Admissions at Lander College for Men. We have rolling admissions.
Qualified students should also consider applying to our Honors Program and Limudei Kodesh Honors Program.
Students currently studying in Israel should send their applications to the Lander College for Men Israel Office. Addresses provided below.
When you apply online, make sure to select the following options:
- LOCATION: Touro University
- COLLEGE: Lander College for Men
- APPLICATION: select which program you wish to attend
If you require a paper application please contact Rabbi Aryeh Manheim.
2. Academic Records
Forward a copy of your official high school transcript and, if applicable, other college or yeshiva transcripts to the Office of Admissions at LCM. We cannot evaluate applications without high school transcripts.
3. Test Scores
Have your official SAT or ACT scores sent to Touro University.
Touro University SAT score report number: 2902
Touro University ACT score report number: 2961
US applicants are normally expected to have taken either the SAT or ACT exam. SAT II tests are not required but, if taken, may strengthen your application.
4. Recommendations
Include two letters of recommendation with your application packet. These should come from people who know you well and can speak to your strengths as a student and a person, such as teachers, or your local rabbi.
5. Interview
We want to get to know you beyond who you are on paper. A designated representative of Lander College for Men will contact all eligible applicants for a personal interview. The Admissions Committee may request a second interview as well.
Early Admissions and Transfer Applications
We welcome transfer students and qualified visiting students from other colleges.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to the Admissions office with any questions or to request an appointment.
