“I realized I wanted a yeshiva environment,” continued Davidson. “Lander has a smaller, homier community and it’s much more similar to Yeshiva Shaarei Mevaseret Zion, along with providing a good secular education.” Though he admits, as for living in New York, he’s not looking forward to a cold winter. “I haven’t seen snow in four years,” he laughed.

Best thing about New York so far? Eating at the restaurant Wolf and Lamb on his first night in New York. “That was the best kosher restaurant I’ve ever been to,” said Davidson.

Davidson has been playing the piano since he was three. “It’s a really important part of my life and it’s an outlet for me,” he said. His favorite musician? Fellow “Piano Man”, Billy Joel.

Davidson said his ideal career choice is to become an optometrist. “I learned about how the eyes and vision function in physics and enjoyed it. Optometry is very my-type of work atmosphere: an office environment where I can own my own practice and help people.”

“LCM is a really good place for me to settle down and figure out who I am and what my strengths are,” concluded Davidson. “I’m excited to get life going.
