What’s your specialty? My team primarily focuses on multi-family & mixed use properties in boroughs of NY, long island, Westchester and the tri-state area.

What inspired you to go into this field? I had close family friends in real estate and I spent a few summers interning with them while I was in college and realized I had a knack for it.

What has been the high point of your career so far? Consistently exceeding the previous year’s numbers, in terms of deals closed and revenue. Last year, my team and I closed nearly a half billion dollars in commercial real estate loans and this year, we are on track to exceed $1 billion.

What is the secret to your success?  A lot of help from G-d, firstly. Secondly, I consider myself somewhat personable and extremely competitive--two essential qualities for success in this business.  Being personable helps me develop good relationships with the banks, lenders, appraisers and attorneys, which in turn allows me to deliver to my clients--the borrowers.

What do you find most rewarding about your job? The most rewarding part is that I actually love dealing with different types of people and there are so many in this business in the NY area. I love the challenge of figuring out how to close the deal. Each deal is different and presents a unique challenge, and I greatly enjoy analyzing and finding the best way to move forward to get the deal done.

What was the best business advice you ever received? “The size of one’s success is measured by the strength of his desire, the size of his dream; and how he handles disappointment along the way." Another great piece of wisdom I just heard from a client is, “Love what you do and you'll never have to work a day in your life.”

What did you study at Touro? At Lander College for Men, I majored in management and marketing. And the truth is—I’m marketing, or selling myself, all day, so the training was quite valuable.

How do you see your career unfolding? I hope to continue growing and developing in my role—I love the sales side…I also look forward to growing my team and to continuing to exceed goal after goal.
