Coordinated through Achiezer, and in collaboration with Nivneh, LCM students went to Far Rockaway this past Sunday and Belle Harbor today, to help in Hurricane Sandy recovery. The group in Far Rockaway went to two homes and spent many hours dismantling cabinets so they could get to the drywall and then breaking up and schlepping the dry wall out.

Rafi Motechin, a junior at Touro’s Lander College for Men, recently organized a fashion show for the residents of New Vanderbilt Rehab & Care Center in Staten Island. Approximately 50 residents attended the show wearing outfits and accessories donated by local boutiques and stores for men and women.
