Dr. William L. Fischbein received his Ph. D. in nuclear physics from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and served as Assistant Professor of Physics at the Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.  As a research scientist and consultant, Dr. Fischbein published more than 30 articles in  nuclear physics, astrophysics, and earth sciences, as well as in the fields of investment banking and finance. He served as vice president and senior trader at a number of banks and financial institutions. His research areas include proprietary trading for stock index, fixed income, and energy markets; derivative trading and price forecasting techniques; artificial intelligence, pattern recognition, and neural networks; hedging strategies using derivatives to manage risk.

Dr. Fischbein is a member of the National Futures Association (NFA) as a licensed and registered Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA).
