Alumni in Israel meet for a Siyum on Shas

November 12, 2012

Close to 40 alumni attended the dinner at the Entrecote Restaurant in Jerusalem on November 7. Among them was, John Zahtz, who enrolled in LCM’s very first class, and who was introduced to his wife by Rabbi Shmulewitz. John just made aliyah a few months ago with his wife and three kids and he made a siyum on all of shas at the Entrecote dinner. It’s always heartening/gratifying to catch up with LCM graduates and, see how they’re doing and what they’re up to. Come visit!

Grilling Pizza

September 10, 2012

And what better way to end it than with a gift of LCM earbuds for each student (the better to review Rabbi Sacks’ recorded shiurim and be prepared) and grilling. Really, no Lander event would be complete without a bbq or pizza. But this time SGO surpassed themselves, combining the two with meat pizzas on the grill. Does life get any better than that?

LCM at AECOM

With that event in addition to a week’s worth of lectures and labs now behind us, I think our transition from college to medical school is now complete. The lectures are fast-moving and densely packed with new and insightful information but we all feel that we were prepared well for this moment.
