“I wanted a place where I could get a really strong education to set me up to pursue a career, but also grow in my Torah learning and still maintain what I’ve gained in Israel and expand on that,” Bergman said about his decision to attend LCM.

Bergman plans on becoming a psychologist like his father. “I’ve seen how much good he does, and I want to emulate that,” said Bergman. As for his time in LCM, Bergman explained: “When we’re at this age, our rebbeim aren’t on top of us so we have to make our own decisions. I’m here because I decided it’s important to me. It’s very different than high school.”

As for his own hobbies, Bergman enjoys rock climbing and drawing.

“It’s really great that you can get a degree in an environment that has three minyanim and morning and night seder.”
