Lander College for Men alumni remain part of the Lander family and contribute to future Lander grads in many meaningful ways.

Lander College for Men alumni remain an integral part of the LCM community, continuing to support and inspire future generations of Lander graduates. One meaningful way alumni give back is through the establishment of Alumni Tribute Scholarships, which help ensure that financial considerations do not pose a barrier for deserving students.

These scholarships, beginning with a minimum donation of $10,000, reflect our alumni’s commitment to providing others with access to a Lander education and the opportunity to develop a strong foundation for both professional success and a life rooted in Torah values.

Alumni Tribute Scholarships may be established in honor or in memory of individuals chosen by the donor, often recognizing a cherished mentor or family member. Through these generous contributions, alumni play a vital role in enabling future Lander men to learn, grow, and thrive.

The Carl & Esther Kaplan Scholarship

Donated l'iluy nishmas Carl and Esther Kaplan, this scholarship is awarded to a high achieving talmid with a profound commitment to Torah learning who demonstrates discipline and derech eretz, both in and out of the beis medrash, and whose financial circumstances may otherwise prevent him from attending Lander College for Men.

The Edelman Family Scholarship

The Edelman Family Scholarship, donated L’Zecher Nishmas Chaim David and Amichai Avrahami, is intended for a talmid who demonstrates sincere commitment to growth in Torah and academics, and who aspires to take full advantage of all that Beis Medrash L’Talmud/Lander College for Men has to offer. This scholarship is especially meant for a student of promise whose financial circumstances may otherwise prevent him from attending — someone for whom this support could be truly transformative.

About Chaim & Amichai

Chaim and Amichai were chaveirim who grew together within the walls of the Beis Medrash in Yeshivas Ohr HaChaim, Queens, NY. Both were outstanding talmidei chachamim, known not only for their Hasmada but also for their exemplary middos and heartfelt tefillah. They served as tremendous role models to many, and they are sorely missed.

The Rabbi Shmulewitz Legacy Scholarship Fund

The Rabbi Shmulewitz Legacy Scholarship Fund, established by Rabbi and Mrs. Hillel Feuerman and Dr. and Mrs. Yoni Rosenstein — devoted talmidim who gained immeasurably from their rebbi — is a tribute to the lasting impact of a true mechanech. This scholarship is intended for students who might not otherwise attend Lander College for Men, whether due to financial limitations or uncertainty about the next step in their journey. It is designed to open doors — to make the decision to come here not only possible, but compelling — for those who are ready to grow in Torah, character, and purpose.

Our Rebbi, Rabbi Yehuda Shmulewitz:

Rabbi Yehuda Shmulewitz, founding Menahel of Lander College for Men / Beis Medrash L’Talmud, inspired generations of lifelong Bnei Torah through his profound wisdom, mastery of Torah, and unwavering dedication to the Torah way of life and to the Talmidei HaYeshiva. With abundant gratitude for his years of devotion, guidance, and mesirus nefesh, this scholarship is established by two of his close talmidim — Rabbi Hillel Feuerman and Dr. Yoni Rosenstein, graduates of the Class of 2011 — as a lasting tribute to their rebbi and his enduring legacy. Rabbi Shmulewitz currently lives in Ramat Beit Shemesh, and has continued to be Marbitz Torah and teach talmidim each day.
