Arthur Babayan, MD, PhD

Arthur Babayan earned his MD at Yerevan State Medical University (Armenia), and he subsequently pursued his specialization in Obstetrics / Gynecology. He subsequently earned a PhD at Saarland Medical University (Germany). His PhD thesis, which earned him graduation honors of magna cum laude. He held postdoctoral training and research posts in Salzburg (Austria), at Cambridge University (UK), and at Weill Medical College of Cornell University (NY), where he held the title of Research Fellow.  In addition, he earned a certificate from the Canadian Society for International Health.

He has taught at Saarland Medical University, Yerevan State Medical University, New York University, and SUNY Downstate Medical Center. His courses cover subjects including Human Anatomy & Physiology, Biology, Endocrinology, Immunology, Genetics, Microbiology, Pathophysiology, Nutrition and Pharmacology. Concurrently with his full-time faculty appointment at Touro University, Dr. Babayan lectures in obstetrics and gynecology at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in the department of diagnostic medical imaging. In his free time, Dr. Babayan is an avid tennis player.
