Dr. John Loike serves as Professor of Biology and Bioethics at Touro University and is the Co-Director of the Master of Science Degree and the Graduate Certificate program in Medical Ethics and Humanities, New York Medical College. Dr. Loike has a PhD from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University and did his postdoctoral research at Rockefeller University and Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. His biomedical research focuses on how human the immune system combats infections, neurodegenerative diseases, and cancer. Dr. Loike lectures internationally [including Thailand, China and India] and writes on emerging and challenging topics in bioethics with a focus on cross-cultural perspectives.
