Study the Theory of Finance, and How to Apply It

Our carefully crafted curriculum, grounded both in theory and its application to the real world, prepares you for a finance career ranging from wealth management to equity analysis to corporate finance.

Explore the Field in and Out of Class

You’ll have opportunities to learn more about your chosen career through clubs, classes, and internships.

  • Join the finance club where you’ll have an opportunity to talk about current events and participate in trading competitions.
  • Take Dr. Bigel’s Investment Principles class, and present live updates on markets and learn how to use the Bloomberg Terminal. 
  • Interact with Career Services who will assist you in obtaining internships so that you can preparefor your post-college worklife and make connections. Career Services will work with you to prepare your resume, target employers, and set up interviews.

Hands-on Experience with Industry-Standard Technology

Our students have the rare opportunity to get hands-on access to three Bloomberg terminals, one in the classroom and two in the computer lab for individual practice and study. Used by almost all major financial institutions, Bloomberg terminals connect our students to real-time financial data and trading.

Course Spotlight: Security Analysis

Prepare to become a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) by taking this high-level course that covers everything from Fixed Income Mathematics to Portfolio Analysis, and Performance Attribution and Assessment. After completing this and other courses, you’ll be prepared to sit for the CFA Level 1 exam. This is the perfect first step to eventually earning your CFA charter, and opening the door to careers in consulting, portfolio management, risk analysis, and much more.
